Located on the corner of Hill and McKenzie Streets, 36th Battalion Park is a residential reserve nestled in a quiet corner of the Inner West. It is easily accessible from Balmain Road and Catherine Street, and is only a short walk from Pioneers Memorial Park and War Memorial Park.

Buses

The 370 on Balmain Road stops on a short walk from the park on Hill Street.

Bike Route

Use Booth and Moore Streets for the best bike friendly route to the park.

The Perfect Neighbourhood Playground

If you’ve already checked out nearby Evan Jones Playground and Whites Creek Valley Park, you already know Leichhardt has plenty of modern play equipment for kids. The playground at 36th Battalion Park is no exception. Climbing frames, swings and slides are all here. No sun shades, but there are trees nearby to provide some shade.

Whether you’re a Point Guard or Wing Attack you’ll be able to get in a few shots at 35th Battalion Park. The netball goal is thoughtfully to one side, so it’s possible to shoot at both rings without getting in each other’s way. As you can see from the picture, there’s also a kin.
