Things To Do

Quiet Spot For Reading

Plenty of shade and bench seats make Alison Park a great place to read a book, particularly north of the playground, which is further from busy Alison Road. The Avenue side of the park is lined with historic fig trees which only adds to the serenity.

Playground

Spread out over two sections the playground has swings, for climbs, slides and see saws. It’s all protected by fences and sunshades and well positioned near a bubbler and the toilets.

Informal Playing Field

The flat expanse north of the playground is great for ball games, Frisbee, or just playing tag. It’s not an actual sports field which means it’s available all the time, even on weekends.

Lots Of Birds But Don’t Feed Them

Ibis, pigeons, cockatoos, While the sound of birdsong (and cicadas in the summer) gives Alison Park a nice, serene aspect, it’s best to avoid feeding them. Otherwise over time they’ll just get aggressive.
