Getting to Beaman Park, Earlwood

Where Is It?

Beaman Park is located in Earlwood along the Cooks River near Warden Road. The closest street is Vera Avenue. it is close to Wills Ground and across the river from Marrickville Golf Club.

By Train

Dulwich Hill Train Station is about a ten minute walk from the park down Warden Road.

By Bus

There are bus stops right near the park on Warden Road. Routes servicing the area include the 412.

By Bicycle

It is accessible via the Cooks River Cycleway. See below for more details.


There is a small amount of parking on Vera Avenue. Otherwise you’ll need to hunt around the side streets nearby.

Sports Fields

The sports fields is used for football (soccer) during the winter by the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association. In the summer Beaman Park hosts cricket in the Canterbury & Western Suburbs Cricket Association.

Tennis Courts

Located in the southern center of the park near Vera Avenue. Contact SportsMax on 0434 236 038 for bookings.


The playground is at the eastern end of the park near the picnic and BBQ areas and the Cycleway.

Cricket Nets

Cricket nets are at the western end of the park near Wardell Road and free to use for the publixc.

Picnic and BBQ areas

Old style BBQs and plenty of undercover seating right on the river. It’s quite a pleasing little spot.

Cooks River Cycleway

Stretching for 25 kilometres between Botany Bay and the Parramatta River, the Cooks River Cycleway passes through Beaman Park and provides a delightful ride across Sydney’s south west and inner west.

  • Rubbish Bins

    There are bins near the kiosk and playground.

  • Toilets

    Toilets at the clubhouse. Open even when no games are on. There are also toilets near the tennis courts.

  • Can I take my dog?

    Dogs should be on leash but are welcome in the park, just not near the playground.

  • Can I lock my bike up

    There’s no bike lock ups yet but you could probably find a place or two to lock up your ride.
