Getting To Bennelong Park, Putney

Where Is It?

Bennelong Park is located on Waterview Street in Putney, near the intersection with Douglas Street. Take Concord Road / Church Street to Morrison Street and connect to Douglas, or connect to south of Morrison Street from Victoria Road in Gladesville.


The 507 stops right out the front of the park on Waterview Street.


The Kissing Point ferry wharf is just a stone’s throw from Bennelong Park in Kissing Point Park.

Bike Route

There are shared walking / bike paths along the foreshore and bike friendly sides streets nearby.


The best street address is the corner of Waterview Street and Douglas Street, Putney NSW 2112.


There is parking on Yaralla Road. Adjacent to Bennelong Park, Kissing Point Park has parking lot near the boat ramp, and there is street side parking in the backstreets nearby.

Go Sailing On The Parramatta River

Sailing the river for over 70 years, the Concord Ryde Sailing Club is a great place for budding Captains young and old to learn how to sail their own watercraft. Harness the wind with school holiday camps, junior programs and adult learn to sail. The sailing season generally runs September to April so get in touch with the folks and CRSC for some wind powered action.

Enjoy A Picnic While The Kids Play In The Playground

Kissing Point Park has a fantastic playground located back from the riverside with ample shade provided by nearby trees. Equipment includes slides, climbing frames and swings, and there’s also covered picnic areas and barbecues so the whole family can make a day of it by the river.

Cycle (Or Stroll) The Foreshore

Extending the length of both parks and south to Dyson Street, the cycleway is a fun place for kids to learn to ride their bikes while parents enjoy the scenic views. There’s also bike lock ups near the public ferry wharf for commuters.


You need a valid fishing licence to fish in NSW, and you’ll want to heed the signage and avoid eating your catch from the Parramatta River. Still, there’s plenty of spots to cast a long including off the jetty nearby, and you’ll catch a handful of locals there most weekend mornings before the picnickers show up.
