Where Is It?

Blackburn Gardens is located on along New South Head Road near the Double Bay Library and Woollahra Council, with Seven Shillings Beach along the foreshore.


The 323, 324, 325 and 326 stop along New South Head Road near the park.

Parking is extremely limited, with some onstreet parking on St Meryvns Avenue (access via foreshore walkway) and on Gladswood Gardens. No parking on New South Head Road but you could also try Victoria Road.

When the season is right Seven Shillings Beach and Murray Rose Pool (Formerly Redleaf Pool) are fun spots to hop in the harbour and splash around. There’s a thin strip of sand along the shore to dig your toes in, or you can roll a towel out on the grassy lawn if you don’t want to risk sand in your togs.

    Unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed in Blackburn Gardens.

    No bike lockups at Blackburn Gardens. There is a pram parking near the library though!
