Route

The walk starts at Bondi Beach. From the park head south up the path towards Bondi Icebergs and you’ll see a sign announcing the walk just before the steps leading down.

This area and nearby Marks Park is where you will find Sculpture By The Sea when it is on. Hunter Sculpture Park displays some sculpture year round as well.

Marks Park offers views north and great photo opportunities south where the winding Coastal Walk stretches out below.

Now the track slopes down towards McKenzies Bay and Gaerloch Reserve. McKenzies is popular with surfers who come up from Tamarama when it’s swimming season and the reserve is a good spot to rest if you are doing the Coastal Walk in reverse before heading up to Marks Park… or just if you want to watch the surfers.

The track then scoops around another headland and you find yourself near Tamarama SLSC with Tamarama beach down below.
Though small, Tamarama Beach is popular spot for dip. Frequent rips mean a moderate risk if you are not careful. Find out more here.
