Getting to Burrows Park, Clovelly

Where Is It?

Burrows park is located between Waverley Cemetery and Clovelly Beach along the Bondi To Coogee Coastal Walk. The closest street is Ocean street.


The 360 runs to Waverley Cemetery, stopping at Ocean Street and Boundary Street.


Limited streetside parking on Ocean Street and the backstreets nearby.

Things To Do

Clovelly Bowling and Recreation Club

Probably the best location for a bowling club in the world. Clovelly Bowls has a licensed bar and bowling lawns. Great in the summer with outstanding views.

Outdoor Gym

Opening in 2014 the gym is free to use and great for a quick circuit if you happen to be jogging along the coastal walk. It’s one of many outdoor gyms in the Eastern Suburbs.

Clovelly Beach

Known for it’s calm waters thanks to the rock barrier that breaks up the swell, Clovelly Beach is akin to a large ocean pool, great for swimming and snorkelling and just a stone’s throw from Burrows Park.

Bondi To Coogee Walk

See what all the fuss is about with Sydney’s most famous coastal walk, starting at Bondi Icebergs and running all the way to Coogee Beach.

Playing Field

Burrows Park has a full sized playing field with rugby goalposts, its used by local rugby union and rugby league clubs in the winter. Not a bad place to kick a ball around, ┬áit’s set a little further back from the cliff so you got to kick it pretty far to make it into the ocean.

  • Food

    Clovelly Bowling Club is licensed and has a good menu. Alternatively head down to Clovelly Beach and pop into the kiosk.

  • Rubbish Bins

    There are rubbish bins located in the park and along the coast walk way

  • Toilets

    There are toilets in the bowling club and south at Clovelly Beach

  • Can I take my dog?

    Dogs are welcome in the park. While the signage says on leash only, it’s not uncommon to see plenty of pooches off leash.

Running behind Clovelly Beach, Bundock Park has a playground and picnic areas overlooking the ocean.

Gordons Bay

Gordons Bay

A small, well protected beach that is popular with divers and walkers for the both the view above and beneath the waves.
