Christison Park is located on Old South Head Road the intersection of New South Head Road in Vaucluse. It’s just south of the Macquarie Lighthouse and north of South Head General Cemetery.

Buses

The 324 and 380 stop along Old South Head Road near the park.

There is plenty of onstreet parking along Old South Head Road, most of it unmetered.

Get Fit At The Outdoor Gyms

If crunches by the coast are your thing you might want to check out the range of outdoor fitness stations in Christison Park. Located along the northern edge of the park (close to Macquarie Lighthouse), the outdoor fitness stations offer a plethora of activities from push up and chin up bars to balance beams and dynamic machinery, not to mention plenty of helpful signage to help you get fit safe and effectively.

Shoot Some Hoops At The Basketball Court

Right near the outdoor gyms the outdoor basketball court is full sized with court markings. Bring your own ball and a few mates for a shoot around, or show up most afternoons for a game of pickup. The court runs north-south fortunately, so there’s no way to accidentally overshoot into the ocean.

Clarke Reserve Playground

Just down the hill from Christison Park, Clarke Reserve has a unique outdoor playground with climbing equipment, swings and soft flooring. A great spot to bring the kids (just make sure you bring a hat, as there’s no sun shades yet.

Located on the crest of the hill between Clarke Reserve and Christison Park, the sculputre is called Sun Disks by artist Diego Lorenzo Latella. Check it out!

Sportsfield / Cricket Pitch

There’s a cricket pitch running down the middle of the park and there’s plenty of flat space to kick a ball around. Just don’t kick it too hard or you’ll end up with a castaway ball. Willlssonnnn!

    No bike lockups but you could probably lock up to a nearby pole etc.
