Getting To Cooper Park, Bellevue Hill

Where Is It?

Located north of Bondi Junction, Cooper Park is a large, natural green space in Bellevue Hill and Double Bay.

From New South Head Road
  • Take Manning Street South to Suttie Road and Bunna Place for western entrance
  • Or, take Bellevue Road to Victoria Road for the eastern end
  • Or, Bellevue Road to Cooper Park Road for the northern entrance.
From Bondi Junction
  • Take Adelaide Street north until you reach the park.

There is dedicated parking at the end of Bunna Place near the tennis courts.

There are a couple of cricket nets at Lower Cooper Park, between the tennis courts and Lough Playing Fields. The nets are free to use, so strap on your pads and get on down there.

Take The Kids To The Playgrounds

There are two playgrounds in Cooper Park. One near the tennis courts that includes slides, fort climbs, and sunshades and another, smaller playground in the northern section of the park near the community centre.

Relax At The Picnic Areas

There are several picnic areas in the park, particularly near the creek that runs through the park, creating a unique ambience. There are no barbecues in the park though.

    There is a kiosk on site near the tennis courts. Also, Bondi Junction is not to far away.

  • Rubbish Bins

    There are a few rubbish bins died around the park, particularly among the main path that runs through the park.

  • Toilets

    There is a toilet block near the playground east of the tennis courts and another at the tennis court café.

  • Can I take my dog?

    Lower Cooper park is the dog friendly section, with time blocks for off leash activity. (4:30pm – 8:30am). Dogs on leash at all other times.

  • Is it bike friendly? / Can I lock my bike up

    The tracks aren’t suited for bikes but there is a path that runs through some of the park that ca be ridden. No official bike lock ups but you can usually chain a bicycle to one of the many fenced areas around the park.
