Right behind the mall, Cronulla Beach is a popular swimming spot with plenty to do nearby.

Getting To Cronulla Beach

Located behind Cronulla Mall, take Gerrale Street south off the Kingsway. It’s also close to Cronulla Train Station, cross the road to Monro Park and take the arcade to Cronulla Park.

There is dedicated parking off Gerrale Street behind Cronulla Park, however due to the proximity to Cronulla Mall it can fill up quickly and you may have to hunt around for parking during the summer and on weekends

Low waves most of the year make this one of Cronulla’s most popular beaches. There is also a rockpool to the north on the way to North Cronulla Beach.

The southern headland (Cronulla Point) has a series of reefs that are popular year round. Shark Island is a few hundred metres south before Blackwoods Beach, and is one of Cronulla’s surfing icons.

Not the most popular fishing spot, the rocks are pretty safe and might make a good spot when rougher elsewhere.
