March 29, 2016 On the Central Coast you’ll find stacks of dog friendly areas on some of NSW’s best beaches. Avoca & North Avoca Beach Address: Avoca Dr Avoca Beach NSW 2251 The middle section of Avoca and North Avoca is dog friendly. South of View Street to just past the lagoon. The rest of beach is not for dogs. Copacabana Beach To Macmasters Beach Address: Tudibaring Parade, Macmasters Beach NSW 2251 The south end of Copacabana Beach is where to take your dog, and the off leash zone extends all the way along Macmasters Beach to about Gerda Road. The very southern end of Macmasters Beach is not zoned for dogs. Forresters Beach Address: Kalakau Ave, Forresters Beach NSW 2260 There is a small section in the middle of Forresters Beach that is designated off leash dog friendly, loosely defined between Crystal Street and Henrys Road. Patonga Beach Address: Bay St, Patonga NSW 2256 Between Brisk St and Jacaranda Ave dogs are allowed to run around off leash. Patonga Beach is a popular tourist destination and a great spot to grab a coffee, take the dog for a walk and soak up the views back towards Sydney. Pearl Beach Address: Coral Cres, Pearl Beach NSW 2256 The northern end of Pearl Beach is off leash dog friendly, nice! Putty Beach Address: Beach Dr, Killcare NSW 2257 Head to Putty Beach for off leash dog fun in the centre section of the beach. Terrigal Beach Address: Terrigal Esplanade, Terrigal NSW 2260 No dog walking on the beach but there’s off leash dog walking around the headland at Terrigal Haven. Umina Beach Address: The Esplanade, Umina Beach NSW 2257 Both the southern and northern ends of the beach are off leash dog friendly. From the southern end you can connect to Pearl Beach via a short headland walk.
