Getting To Dumaresq Reserve Beach, Rose Bay

Where Is It?

Also known as the Rose Bay Foreshore, Dumaresq Reserve Beach is located between Dumaresq Reserve and Percival Park in Rose Bay. Access from Dumaresq Road or Collins Avenue off New South Head Road. It’s also accessible from Tingira Memorial Park. Depending on the tide, you might get your feet wet.

Onstreet parking on Collins Avenue, Dumaresq Road and New South Head Road. You could also park at Lyne Park and walk over, it’s all dog friendly.

Things To Do

Off Leash Dog Friendly

Dumaresq Reserve Beach is one of the few dog friendly beaches In Sydney. Dogs can roam off leash and splash about in the water.

Rose Bay Foreshore Dog Walking Sydney

Hire A Kayak

Rose Bay Aquatic Hire is located at Tingira Memorial Beach. You can rent kayaks, paddle boards and fishing boats and go for a cruise around the bay. Probably can’t take your dog though 🙁

Probably Don’t Go Swimming

Recent reports have suggested that pollution from stormwater drains makes the beach not suitable for swimming, particularly after recent rains. Rose Bay Park Beach is a better bet. Don’t know the difference? Rose Bay Park Beach is west of Lyne Park between Rose Bay Marina and Point Piper Marina in Rose Bay Park.

If the tide is high you’ll need to traverse a few feet of shallow water from Dumaresq Reserve.

    The nearest toilets are at Lyne Park.

    Yes! That’s what it’s all about. Keep in mind dogs are not allowed in Percival Park <l/li>

  • Can I lock my bike up?

    No bike lockups but there are some at Lyne Park.
