Things To Do

Not A Bad Spot For Surfing

The offical line is that rips make for potentially dangerous surfing around Elouera, however locals will tell you the surf is consistent if slightly flatter in the summer. Breaks during most tides and usually quiet and most surfers head towards Wanda and Greenhills.

Swimming Away From The Crowds

With more family friendly options nearby, Elouera Beach rarely packs out with swimmers. There are rips so it’s advised you swim between the flags. Elouera Surf Lifesaving Club patrols the beach.

Beach Fishing Without The Hassle

Rips in the southern section of the beach produce good gutters that make for decent beach fishing in the mornings and late afternoons. Elouera Beach is one of the few fishing beaches in the Shire that’s easy to get to. Be wary of the area around the seawall where access can be limited at high tide.

The Wall Cronulla Walk

The Wall connects Elouera Beach to North Cronulla.

  • Toilets

There are toilets at Elouera Surf Club.

  • Food and Rubbish Bins

Sea Salt at the top of Eloura Surf Club is a popular fine dining resturant. There is also a kiosk at North Cronulla Beach. Cronulla Mall is about a 20 minute walk from Elouera Beach.

  • Can I take my dog to Elouera Beach?

Dogs are not permitted on the beaches in Cronulla with the exception of Greenhills Beach which has timed off leash zones in the mornings and afternoons. The walking track that runs along Mitchell Road and down past the wall is suitable for dogs on leash.

  • Bike Lock Ups

There are several bike lock ups at the entrances to Elouera and Wanda Beach.

North Cronulla Beach Surfing

North Cronulla Beach

One of Sydney’s most well known beaches, surrounded by cafes and restaurants with a popular promenade, picnic areas and playground, right in the heart of Cronulla.

Wanda Beach

Wanda Beach

A good beach for surfing not far from Elouera, Wanda seems a world away from the hustle and bustle of the village centre.
