Where Is It?

Ewen Park is located in Hurlstone Park along the Cooks River, right against the footbridge that joins the cycleway to Earlwood. From New Canterbury Road take Garnet Street to Tenement Parade.

By Train

It’s also only a short walk from Hurlstone Park Station.

By Bicycle

Ewen Park is along the Cooks River Cycleway which makes is easily accessible via bike. See below for more details.


There is a small amount of parking along Tenament Parade, otherwise there’s usually plenty of parking on the back streets nearby.

Cooks River Cycleway

The Cooks River Cycleway extends 25 kilometres from the Parramatta River to Botany Bay. The bike track is mostly uninterrupted with the occasional road crossing, making it a popular commuter track during the week and family ride on weekends. This is a popular spot for riders, walkers and joggers with the bridge nearby joining two legs of the cycle way. Expect to see a lot of riders going past and keep an eye out if you have kids.

Children’s Playground

Ewen Park has a small but well maintained playground with slides and a fort. The pleasant backdrop makes it a unique Sydney experience.

Undercover picnic and BBQ area are on site. Some are placed near the playground, others the sports field.
