Things To Do

Hidden Cultural Monuments

Explore the pathways to find several monuments with diverse cultural relevance. They are situated along the pathways that run through Gough Whitlam Park.

Children’s Playground

The playground is fenced with slides and swings and a small cafe. A new park is set to open soon. It is adjacent to the existing park and has climbing forts and balance activities. For now, the existing playground is pretty good.

Basketball Court

Set between the playground and the playing field the court is simple but effective and free to use.

Playing Field

A multi-purpose field with a white picket fence, its a nice spot to watch a game with some raised areas to sit. Bring a hat. The field is used for football (soccer) during the winter by the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association. In the summer it hosts cricket in the Canterbury & Western Suburbs Cricket Association.

Cooks River Cycleway

This part of the Cycle way runs along the south bank of the Cooks River eventually joining the north branch at the Illawarra Road Bridge.
