Kensington Park is a large park with a cricket oval and playground Cottenham Avenue and Day Lane. Take Cottenham Avenue from Gardeners Road or Doncaster Avenue south from Anzac Parade.

Things To Do


John Calopedos Memorial Playground

A unique children’s playground with swings, climbs and slides. Trees provide shade and there is also a sunshade at or end of the park. The playground has that squishy soft touch grounding and there is also plenty of bench seating nearby.

Children’s Bike Track

Circling around the playground, this small bike track is ideal for children learning to cycle, and even has a little bit of signage.

Kensington Cricket Oval

Most of the park is dominated by the picket fenced cricket oval that is also used for Rugby Leave in the winter.

Cricket Nets

There are practice nets at the eastern end of Kensington Oval.

    During games you can pick something up from the kiosk. Alternatively, Anzac Parade is only a short distance away with plenty of shops, kiosks, cafes and takeaways.
    Alcohol is not permitted between sunset and sunrise.

    Toilets are located at the back of the main building near the parking lot.
