Where Is It?

Lionel Bowen Park is conveniently located on Coward Street, just off O’Riordan Street, east of Mascot Oval and west of Mascot Memorial Park. It is also accessible from Forster Street off Macintosh Street. There is a bus stop directly or the front of the park on Coward Street.


The best street address is Forster Street, Mascot, 2020.


Limited street side parking on Coward Street, Forster Street and Oliver Street.

Things To Do

Modern Playground

Fun for the whole family, the park includes a unique swing made from heavy rope, giant rope climb, interactive totems, a giant sandpit with sunshades, a play train, unique fort climbs and a picnic area nearby. This really is a great playground!

Picnic Area & Barbecues

Located near the playground, there are two double barbecues with sunshades and plenty of picnic tables. It’s a nice setup that would be ideal for a kids party or just a family day out.

Seating In The Round

To the north sun chairs are set up in the circular green and there is covered bench seating at the entrance that works thoughtfully as a bus stop waiting area as well.

    There address barbecues in the park. For cafes and takeaways head east on Coward Street to Botany Road where there are plenty of options.

  • Rubbish Bins

    There are rubbish bins in the park with several holding dog tidys as well.

  • Toilets

    No toilets in the park. The closest area east along Coward Street at Mascot Memorial Park.

  • Can I take my dog?

    Dogs are welcome but should remain on leash and away from the playground area.

  • Can I lock my bike up

    There are bike barriers at the entrances but no bike lockups. There are some light poles that would work in a pinch.
