Getting To Lough Playing Fields

Where Is It?

Lough Playing Fields area located near Cooper Park on Manning Street, with Suttee Road forming the dividing lines between Lough and Cooper Park. From New South Head Road take Manning Street South or from Bondi Junction take Adelaide Street , left onto Edgecliff Road then right onto Bathurst Street.

There is street parking on Manning Street though it’s very limited. There is parking on Suttee Road and at the end of Bunna Place near Cooper Park Tennis Courts.

Cricket Pitches (Junior)

There are two junior cricket pitches at Lough Playing Fields that are free to use. There are also some cricket nets at Lower Cooper Park, making it a good spot to get your eye in, or practice that googly.

Off Leash Dog Exercise

Off leash dog exercise is permitted between 4:30pm and 8:30am. Lower Cooper Park also has off leash dog exercise.

  • Food

    There is a kiosk at the Cooper Park Tennis Courts, only a short walk fromt he playing fields, also Bondi Junction is not too far away with plenty of options.

  • Rubbish Bins

    There are a couple of rubbish bins in the park and also in nearby Cooper Park. Looking for dog bags? You can drive them in Lower Cooper Park.

  • Toilets

    There is at the small, historic looking clubhouse in the middle of the park.

  • Can I take my dog?

    Dogs are permitted on leash throughout the day and off leash between 4:30 and 8:30 am.

  • Can I lock my bike up

    While there aren’t any bike racks you could easily lock a bike up to the wood fencing around the outside of the park.

Harbour View Playing Field

Despite the name there isn’t much in the way of Harbour views. There is nice playground and a small waterfall.
