Things To Do

Two Soccer Fields Are At Magdala Park

The Gladesville Ryde Magic football club calls Magdala Park home. The fields are fenced and elevated but it’s also not that far from the river. If you’ve got a good boot on you, you might be able to sink a ball or two. To register with the club contact them through their website.

And There’s A Baseball Field As Well

So if you’re keen to throw a curveball or think you’ve got a home run or two in you, consider joining up with the North Ryde Baseball Juniors.

The Dea Aldridge Diamond is named after a player who began their baseball career with North Ryde and later signed to play with the Detroit Tigers.

Access to the walking track is at the start

There’s Also Playground & Picnic Area

Nestled away near the clubhouse, the kids playground is far enough from the playing fields to keep kids safe from flying balls, but if you’re on parent duty you won’t be able to see the games very well. Still, it’s a nice little spot with slides, swings and climbing frames for the kids to enjoy.

  • Food

There’s a kiosk on game days at the clubhouse.

  • Rubbish Bins

You’ll find both bins at Magdala Park.

  • Toilets

Amenities and change rooms at the clubhouse.

  • Can I take my dog?

Keep your dog on leash and away from the sports fields and playground. They’re also not permitted in the National Park.

  • Can I lock my bike up?

Lock your bike up to the wooden fence near the parking area.
