Snape Park’s centrepiece is a pocket fenced cricket oval, though it also sports tennis courts, a playground, and practice cricket nets.

Where Is It?

Snape Park is located between Snape and Storey Street off Bunnerong Road or Anzac Parade in Maroubra, and is bordered by Hannan Street to the east and Percival Street to the West. Buses stop along Anzac Parade and Bunnerong Road.

Things To Do

Let The Kids Loose On The Playground

Fenced and protected by sun shades, Snape Park Playground includes swings, fort climb, slides and other fun activities for kids.

Off Leash Areas For The Dog

Dogs are permitted off leash in the park but not on the cricket oval, or near the playground. Stick to the north west corner of the park, there’s plenty of space and you won’t have to much trouble if the council rangers come sniffing around.

Cricket Ovals & Practice Nets

The Snape Park sportsground is surrounded by white picket fence and hosts competition cricket in the summer. You’ll also find the cricket nets here and three of the nets are freely accessible at all times. A second multi purpose sports ground is positioned closer to Hannan Street which also has a cricket pitch.

Snape Park Tennis Centre & Hall Hire

6 outdoor synthetic courts available for booking through the day and night. All courts are floodlit. Includes kiosk and pro shop where they offer a restringing service.   • Food

    Food is absolve from the tennis centre and from the Snape Park kiosk during matches. Alternatively you can head to Bunnerong Road or Anzac Parade where there are plenty of cafes and takeaways.

  • Rubbish Bins

    There are a number of rubbish bins in the park, some with dog tidy dispensers as well.

  • Toilets

    There are toilets in the park near the kiosk on the south (Storey Street) side of the park.

  • Can I take my dog?

    Dogs are welcome in the park but should be kept free of the sports field and playground.

  • Can I lock my bike up?

    No official bike lock ups but there are a few pays and poles that would be suitable.
