Where Is It?

Sydney Park is located near St Peters Station where the Princes Highway joins King Street. Sydney Park Road runs along the north border, while Campbell Road is to the south and Euston Road to the east.

There is a parking area on the intersection of Mitchell Road and Sydney Park Road.
On the south side Harber Street has some dedicated parking off Campbell Road.

Sydney Park Cycling Centre

The cycling centre is next to the carpark on Sydney Park road. It’s a great way to learn how to cycle regardless of age, though it’s very popular with children.

Sydney Park has a large with sun shades and equipment designed to engage the body and mind.

Alan Davidson Oval

An AFL sized overal that hosts matches on weekends with teams training during the week.

Fitness Stations

Located near there overall, the fitness stations are free to use with a variety of muscle building apparatus and clear instructions at each piece of equipment.

Scenic Lakes / Wetlands

Recent upgrades to the south east section of the park have only improved the scenic loop around the wetland areas. No swimming or feeding the ducks, but it’s a pretty nice place all the same.

New Years Eve

The northern hillside is a popular and panoramic spot to watch the New Years Eve fireworks burst over the city. It’s not an official spot just yet, so you can probably have a better time without too much bother.

  • Food

    There is a small kiosk in the central are of the park that is open on weekends. King Street is not far away with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants.

  • Rubbish Bins

    There are rubbish and recycling bins scattered around the park, mostly adjacent to the pathways.

  • Toilets

    Toilets are near the playground area and kiosk in the middle of the park. There is also a toilet block on the south east side of the park.

  • Can I take my dog?

    Sydney Park is very dog friendly, with many off leash areas and training classes on the weekend near the chimney stacks. Just keep the dogs away from the play areas and the wetlands

  • Can I Ride My Bike?

    The park is bike friendly, just ride slowly around the pedestrians and dogs. There are also plenty of places to lock your bike up.


Camperdown Memorial Rest Park | Newtown

Just north of King Street and east of Australia Avenue Memorial Rest boasts playgrounds, off leash dog area and an historic cemetery.
