Bondi To Coogee Walk

Sydney’s most popular coastal walk, start at Bondi Beach and follow the walk all the way to Coogee Beach taking in vast coastal vistas, incredible beaches, parks and historic locations. The walk can be completed anywhere from 90 minutes to three hours depending on how quickly you want to go.
Prepared walkers can continue the trek to Maroubra, Little Bay and eventually the Henry Head Walking Track at Kamay Botany Bay National Park depending on how far you want to go.

Hornby Lighthouse South Head Sydney

An easy track loop starting at Camp Cove Beach and looping past Lady Bay Beach and Horny Lighthouse, as well as other historic sites. Cooper Park is an outstanding bushland park in Paddington / Bellevue Hill with tennis courts, picnic areas and a playground. The whole Park is surrounded by unique walking trails that wind and twist through one another, giving the impression that you’re deep in the forest when really you’re only a stone’s throw from suburbia. This makes it an excellent spot for some family friendly hiking fun.

The main trail loop through Kamay Botany Bay National Park takes you past Congwong Beach, Brown’s Rock (a popular fishing spot), historic barracks and Endeavour Lighthouse as well as Cruwee Cove, Cape Banks and the wrecked SS Minmi. The walk itself takes about 90 minutes to do the full circuit but you many want to stop for a swim at the aquatic reserve. Pack sunscreen in the summer as some parts of the trail are exposed.

A hour or so walk from Nielsens Park in Vaucluse to Hermitage Foreshore Park at Bayview Hill Road in Rose Bay, taking in great views of the city and harbour, historic locations and perhaps most importantly some of Sydney’s best harbour beaches, including party spot Milk Beach and popular family location Shark Beach at Nielsens Park.

The Gap South Head Walk Watsons Bay

Gap Park Coastal Walk Watsons Bay To Vaucluse & Dover Heights

It’s possible to walk from South Head to Gap Park and then Lighthouse Reserve, taking in two lighthouses in one day. The proviso here is that it involves some footpath areas, so you’ll lose the serenity every now and again. There are also tracks winding further down Christenson Park to Diamond Bay, taking in all the dramatic views this area of the Eastern Suburbs is famous for.

Hidden along the suburban boundry of Randwick and South Coogee, this sprawling and modern park sports plenty of facilities connected by a winding walking trail that doubles as bike track.

Jennifer Street Boardwalk

Address: Jennifer St, Little Bay NSW 2036
A 300 metre boardwalk that is unique as one of the few places in Sydney where you can see the Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub, a diverse species of native flora that once populated the Eastern coast but has since been decimated due to development and fire control (The ESBS relies on bushfires as part of its rejuvenation process). The boardwalk is part of Kamay Botany Bay National Park and many hikers complete it as part of a day trip on the Henry Head Walking Track.

Coast Hospital Cemetery Trail

A small track in Kamay Botany Bay National Park that can be completed in a few minutes. The main feature is the historic Coast Hospital Cemetery where victims of smallpox are buried, it’s a haunting and unique place. The path also joins up to the coast where it’s possible to walk north to Little Bay Beach and Maroubra.
